For Immediate Release: Paul Dunlap Jr. releases first solo project, "Woman Like You"

Updated: Dec 14, 2020

Born and raised on the east side of Oahu in beautiful Waimānalo, Paul Dunlap Jr.'s interest in Hawaiian music and culture began at an early age. For as long as he can remember, his father sang and played both guitar and ukulele, performing at the infamous Merrie Monarch on the island of Hawaii, as well as local venues on Oahu. His aunty, Paleka Mattos, was also rooted deep in the Hawaiian culture and respected as a Kumu Hula, singing and playing the ukulele.

Paul's professional/recording career started off with the trio, Ka'ala Boys, in 2002. Locking arms with his sister in 2010, Jasmine Kaleihiwa Dunlap, aka Miss Aloha Hula 2015, Kaiona Music created and is well known today. Paul is a lead vocalist, along with his sister, and guitarist as well. In 2012, Paul recorded with Simple Session; he was known as being a lead vocalist, back up vocalist, composer and guitarist. He continued to grow musically on his own, performing as a solo guitarist and vocalist. Although his passion lies within traditional and contemporary Hawaiian music, along with island and reggae beats, his talent extends into the genres of pop, country and R&B.

Paul wrote his newest single, "Woman Like You", which features Travis Pajimola and Taz Vegas. We hope you enjoy this catchy, contemporary original!
